09 On the Telly 62

Fireball XL5 was a favourite of mine, as were the cartoons and cowboys. I wasn’t so keen on Noggin the boring Nog or Ivor the boring Engine, yet both hogged places in the teatime children’s slot.

Other shows at that time included…

Five O’Clock Club, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Supercar, Fireball XL5, The Flintstones, Captain Pugwash, Sarah and Hoppity, Top Cat, Noggin the Nog, Ivor the Engine, Blue Peter, Zoo Time, Animal Magic, Crackerjack, Dixon of Dock Green, Opportunity Knocks, Criss Cross Quiz, Grandstand, The Adventures of Robin Hood, No Hiding Place, Coronation Street, Sunday Night at the London Palladium, Z-Cars, Compact, The Avengers, Danger Man, Harpers West One, Mister Ed, The Arthur Haynes Show, Hugh and I, Candid Camera, Double Your Money, Take Your Pick, Ghost Squad, The Saint, Just Dennis, Top of the Form, Dr. Finlay’s Casebook, Rawhide, Bonanza, Hawkeye, Cheyenne, Gunsmoke, Bootsie and Snudge, Songs of Praise, Armchair Theatre, Emergency – Ward 10, This Week, That Was The Week That Was, Panorama, All Our Yesterdays, The Good Old Days, Watch With Mother (Picture Book, Monday; Andy Pandy, Tuesday; The Flowerpot Men, Wednesday; Rag, Tag and Bobtail, Thursday; The Woodentops, Friday.)
